More Cupcakes

My friend, Marianne requested for cupcakes for her son's kindergarten school teacher. She suggested ruler, crayon and left the rest to me. I thought since I have experimented with fondant for Sydney's birthday cake, I'll try modelling some of these using fondant. I made them in the morning and left them out to dry before baking the cupcakes.

Initially the fondant models were drying out beautifully until it started raining in the evening. Then the fondant models became 'limpy' and soft again. So much so that they almost did not make it to the top of the cupcakes...... need to transfer them using spatula, butter knife, tooth pick and other handy utensils that I could find in my kitchen..........*cold sweat*

I know, I know..........the fondant models are not so recognisable........you mean not recognisable at all?? OK lah, I admit I need a lot of practice.....will sign up for Wilton Course 3.
