Naughty BOOBs Cake
For my colleague's BIG 40th birthday, a few of us gathered together and decided to get her a naughty cake. She has been passing remarks and implying that she would love to have super size boobs with cleavage. After much thought we decided on a Boobs Cake. It was unanimously agreed that none other than moi will make the cake. As I am the only one amongst them who has ventured into cake baking and decorating.
Since my graduation from Wilton, I have not have many encounters with fondant. Even though I have been baking quite a lot lately, especially cupcakes but all the people that I baked for prefers buttercream. I supposed fondant is still relatively new in this part of the world.
Thus far, the only elaborate design that I have made with fondant is my Wilton Course 3 graduation cake. And that was pretty easy as we have instructors to guide us through. When I had to decorate this Boobs cake on my own it was quiet a challenge. Firstly, it was about getting the colour tone right. Then it was the care required to ensure that the workmanship is neat and looks real.
I must admit that I wasn't quite happy with the end result as it wasn't as neat and pretty as I had imagine it to be. But I am glad that despite the imperfection, the birthday girl is overjoyed with her cake.
